Pdf Summary
The presentation introduces CASE Insights on Alumni Engagement, the global survey that helps higher education institutions measure, understand, and benchmark alumni engagement. The CASE framework treats engagement as activity valued by alumni that builds mutually beneficial relationships, strengthens institutional reputation, supports loyalty and giving, and advances the institution’s mission.

Survey results help institutions assess strategy, set goals, identify strengths and gaps, support leadership decisions, and make the case for resources. Participating institutions receive sector findings, access to current and historical data, peer benchmarking, and tools to create custom comparison groups and reports. The 2024–25 survey included 398 institutions.

The 2025–26 survey includes required and optional sections covering institutional characteristics, alumni counts, engagement modes, staffing, governance, events, social media, and operations. Updates clarify how to report alumni-relations staff, define formal institutional volunteers, and collect information on program governance. The staffing and investment section is optional for most participants but essential for benchmarking cohort participants.

Institutions enter data at insightsdata.case.org, where multiple staff can contribute, save progress, and review validation checks. Fatal errors must be fixed; serious errors must be fixed or explained before submission. The survey is scheduled to close January 15, 2027, with an extension to February 28 for specified regions. CASE provides guidance and support through insights@case.org.
