CASE Europe’s webinar introduced the 25th annual Philanthropy UK and Ireland survey and encouraged institutions of every size to participate. Speakers explained that survey data supports sector-wide benchmarking, strategic planning, leadership reporting, and operational improvements. Even institutions with reduced fundraising activity or small teams are encouraged to respond, since every submission improves the representativeness of the findings.<br /><br />The survey is open from 1 September to 30 November. Definitions and questions are unchanged, and institutions can use the online platform and Excel guidance file to prepare and submit data. A shorter version is available by request for institutions with limited capacity; it collects headline figures while omitting some detailed breakdowns. Both versions include essential contextual information, and short-survey submissions still contribute to key reports and benchmarking.<br /><br />Participants receive access to sector data, interactive benchmarking tools, and a summary benchmarking report. The webinar also covered account access, team logins, validation checks, survey completion, and support resources. CASE staff invited participants to contact the Insights team for help, including access to the short survey or extra time. Other opportunities mentioned included the Alumni Engagement Survey, an advancement analytics survey, CASE research, and professional networks.
