But I think I'm gonna get started now. So welcome to CASE's December Monthly Membership Webinar. We are thrilled to have you with us this afternoon, or for some of you, it's still the morning, as we dive into all the ways CASE can support you in achieving your professional goals. My name is Candace Fitzsimmons, and I serve as the Manager of Membership Engagement here at CASE. Over the past year and a half, I've had the privilege of connecting with many of our members, and seeing firsthand the impact of our resources and community. Joining me today is Edwina Wild, our Senior Membership Coordinator, and the go-to expert for all things related to your membership account. Edwina is also our Database Guru, and she'll be keeping an eye on the chat today. So feel free to drop your questions and comments there. After my presentation, where I'll be highlighting some of CASE's most popular membership benefits and resources, we'll dive into a Q&A session to address any questions that you have that weren't addressed yet in the webinar, or answered in the chat. Also joining us today is Cindy Moon-Barner. Cindy is the Senior Director of the CASE Library and Standards. Cindy will be speaking about the CASE Library and Archives, as well as the CASE Global Reporting Standards. If you'd like, as I mentioned earlier, it would be great now if you could now introduce yourself to everyone in the chat by mentioning what institution you are with, and what area of advancement you work in, such as marketing, communications, alumni relations, et cetera. You should have received an email with the link for today's webinar slide. Edwina will also be sharing the link in the chat, so you can sit back, relax, and enjoy the session without worrying about taking notes. A quick introduction to CASE. We are a global nonprofit membership association dedicated to advancing education and transforming lives in society. The only organization of its kind, CASE brings advancement practitioners together across the globe with members and volunteers at the heart of our organization. For the past 50 years, since our founding in 1974, we have been the professional home for advancement professionals, inspiring, challenging, and equipping them to act effectively and with integrity to champion the success of their institutions. Through our CASE global reporting standards, CASE defines the competencies and standards for the profession of advancement, leading and championing their dissemination and application. CASE is headquartered in Washington, DC, just a stone's throw from the White House, with offices in London, Mexico City, and Singapore. In the US and Canada, we have eight districts, each with its own regional council and district cabinet, providing invaluable local insights and leadership. The districts hold at least one in-person meeting annually to foster community and collaboration. Our organization is led by President and CEO Sue Cunningham, who has been at the helm since 2015, alongside a 23-member board of trustees that guides our mission and strategic direction. CASE has nearly 3,000 member institutions around the globe and more than 100,000 individual members from 82 countries. Our members work across alumni relations, communications, development, marketing, and advancement services, representing a wide array of institutions, including two- and four-year colleges, universities, K-12 schools, nonprofit organizations, and school system offices. CASE offers an extensive array of benefits and resources, many that are exclusive to CASE members. I will soon be discussing several of them. Our website, case.org, in addition to our newsletters, membership magazine Currents, and social media sites, such as LinkedIn and YouTube, provide up-to-date information on our latest offerings. We also send emails to members on events and resources of specific interest to them. Now, before we jump into the member benefits, I'm excited to tell you about our monthly membership webinar contest. Since most of you work in education, you must all get excited over the idea of pop quizzes, right? Well, I am going to be chatting about several different CASE benefits today. After speaking about some of the benefits, I am then going to have a pop quiz. The first person to answer the question correctly by putting the answer in the chat will receive a $10 Starbucks gift card. There will be a total of five pop-up quizzes, so you will have several chances to win. And for all our A-plus students out there, there is a limit to one prize per person. However, you are welcome to post your correct answers every time, even if you're already a winner. So pay close attention so you can be one of our winners today. All right, let's get started. We are now going to dive into some of CASE's most popular membership benefits and resources. One of the standout benefits that our members absolutely love is the CASE library. And we are so excited to have as our guest speaker today, Cindy Moon Barner, who is CASE's Senior Director of the Library and Standards. Cindy will be walking you through some of the invaluable resources that you'll find in the CASE library. But before she begins, I just want to share a little background information on Cindy. Cindy is the Senior Director of the CASE Library and Standards. In this role, she manages the activities of the CASE Library and Archives, as well as serving as the subject matter expert for CASE Global Reporting Standards. Cindy responds to members' questions on advancement related topics, as well as member questions regarding the CASE Global Reporting Standards. She speaks frequently on CASE resources and the CASE Global Reporting Standards. Cindy has been with CASE for 11 years. And if you have any questions for Cindy, please post them in the chat and she can answer them when she has done her presentation. So I'm now going to hand off the virtual microphone to Cindy. Great. Thank you so much for having me here today, Candice. And thank you to all of you for taking time out of your busy day right before the holidays to spend a little time learning about CASE and some of the member benefits that we offer. The CASE Library is located in Washington, DC. We have a team of four librarians, including myself, and we serve CASE members worldwide. All questions come in to the centralized email box. And I would say, if you remember nothing else from my presentation today, you should remember libraryatcase.org. And that will tell you, that's our central location to learn all things about CASE. We answer about 1,000 to 1,200 questions per year. And they cover all topics on advancement to the really easy ones, to the really hard ones and everything in between. We are not attorneys and we are not tax professionals. So we can't answer anything legal or tax, but sometimes we can refer you to resources to get you started. Here's just a brief listing of some of the resources that we have for members that I'm going to talk about today. A lot of them are available on our website and I will be referencing them. But if you have any questions or if I go too fast through some sections, feel free to drop a message in the chat or email me after the session. The services that we offer for the members are our online subject guides, which are basically reading lists for resources on all different topics. We have online sample collections, which include everything from sample pledge cards to current circle of excellence winners, to alumni reports and alumni magazines, to case statements, to gift policies and gift agreements, to whistleblower policies. We also have the case files, which include the largest gifts to education and some of the largest campaigns in the US. We have the advancement resource catalog, which we call the ARC. It includes, it's a library catalog, just how you would use it as your institutions or at any public library, but this catalog is all specific to advancement. And we have about 15,000 items in that catalog and many of it is full text, which is a huge bonus for you guys. For any of you who get the opportunity to attend some of the great case conferences, we provide resource lists for those conference communities. If you are speaking at a case conference, we provide research and resources for conference faculty as they prepare their presentations for case. And then lastly, we provide personalized research services for when you just can't find it anywhere else. Next slide. As I mentioned before, a lot of our content is available on the case website and at the case library. And this is just a screenshot of our homepage on the case website. And our web address is just case.org front slash library. It's the shortcut to get to our resources. Next page. This is another screenshot showing you the homepage on the case website. And if you look under the resources tab and then look under library, and then look under the advancement resource catalog or subject guides or case files or sample collections, those are all quick ways to jump to our content. Next slide. First of all, we're gonna talk about the advancement resource catalog. As I mentioned, it is a curated collection of resources and news all related to advancement profession. It is available only to case members and you can get to it by logging onto the case website. You can either click on the link here that's in the presentation, but if you're actually on our page on the case website, you'll see this huge yellow box. And if you just click on the login button, it will use your case login and it will automatically log you into the catalog. Next slide. Here, I'm just gonna show you a couple of screenshots from the advancement resource catalog. Once you get into the system, if you can look at the dark blue bar at the very end, there's a tab that says user guides. There are very detailed with screenshots, user guides there. If you wanna deep dive on how to use the catalog, that's one way to do it. This just gives you a view of what the front page looks like so that you can say, oh yeah, I'm in the right spot. It includes our question of the week, which is many times a great question bears repeating and it includes a question that we have answered for our members that we think other people may be interested in. It also includes a listing of some of our newest resources and it includes some links back to the case website. Next slide, please. This is just a bit of a walkabout around that front page. Some things you may wanna be interested in. The menu bar, the dark blue bar is how you navigate. You can search the catalog. You can search the catalog using a simple keyword search. So you can put in, I'm looking for information about alumni relations at community colleges. You can type in something as simple as that or if you wanna go all fancy, you can go ahead and put a Boolean search in. We'll be very impressed and you can get your search results that way. You can also click on the case logo at the top of the page at any time to be able to get back to the case website. The question bar or the question icon will give you tips if you wanna do a more advanced search. And then the newest resources include the things we've most recently added to the collection. So sometimes it's an easy way to see the latest news. If you need help making your source or making your search or using the catalog, you can always email us at library at case.org. Next slide, please. This next slide shows you what the search results look like and an example of what full text looks like, they're PDF files. So here an example is a search on family giving and it talks about American University development officers working with Chinese parents and includes an abstract of the item, what the source of the item, this particular item is a dissertation. And then if you click on the full text link at the bottom, it's kind of a brighter blue, you see the small screenshot that shows you the full text. So you can actually read the item itself. Next slide. And that's really a super quick overview of the catalog. The beauty of the catalog is that it is available seven days a week, 24 seven. So whenever inspiration strikes, you can do a search and you can look for information on whatever topic you're interested in. And if you can't find what you need, you can always email us and we can help you with that. The other perk is if you are located in an office that is not on East Coast time, then you can do your search at a time that's convenient to you. Say if you're in Asia Pacific or if you're in the London office or Mexico city, and then you can search something at a time that's convenient to you. Next, I'm gonna talk a little bit about the subject guides. The subject guides are a little bit different from our sample or from our online catalog and that they are literally bibliographies. It's a cheat sheet of a lot of resources on a particular topic. At the beginning of each section, we include the newest collections that we've created. We have in total about 150 different subject guides on all sorts of topics related to advancement. They are curated by our librarians and we update them on a regular basis, but the newest ones are listed up top. And for here, when I did this screenshot, we have cryptocurrency, diversity in the profession and fundraising during a recession. I would say since I took this screenshot, we've actually added a brand new subject guide about how higher education organizations are approaching the change in the presidential transition that's coming next month and how they're approaching potential changes that may or may not come to higher education. Next slide, please. This slide, there are a lot of titles on here. This shows you some of the subject guides that we have in advancement services, special events, alumni relations, and communications and marketing. As I mentioned, we update these on a regular basis and we're always adding new ones. This is just to give you a sense of there's a lot of them. Next slide, please. This is the other half of the titles. We have fundraising and we have organization and management. The one title that's highlighted here is new to educational advancement. I thought for this audience, this might be really useful because it includes, it's a great section if you are new to higher ed or if you're new to the field of advancement. It includes a lot of basic resources. Next slide. It includes, and this is what a subject guide looks like. It includes definitions and key case resources. It includes resources on advancement, explaining the field of advancement, what it is, what it's comprised of. And it also includes resources on higher education because sometimes we have people who come to higher education from different fields. Next slide. The next group of online collections that are really popular with our members are the online sample collections. These are all materials that are openly available through public websites. We just curate these teams, or we curate these lists together. It is essentially a list of links. The joke is that CASE stands for Copy and Share Everything. Well, this is the distillation of that work. They are organized by topic. They're organized by advancement, I guess, heading, advancement services, fundraising, communications and marketing, alumni relations, organization and management. These also include samples from the CASE Circle of Excellence Awards. And if you're not familiar with the CASE Circle of Excellence Awards, the Circle of Excellence Awards are an award program organized by CASE every year. Your marketing and comms team are probably very familiar with it. We have, you know, thousands of entries every year. And then all of the entries are judged by a jury of professional peers. And this is everything from best photograph to best campaign for a small organization, best annual giving program for a large organization, pledge cards, videos, donor giving days, online giving days. And so these are kind of really the cream of the crop. And we curate those collections and organize them topically. So this is kind of another way where if you need ideas from your alumni magazine, you can see who won the grand gold for the last three years and be like, oh, well, this is what the best of the best is doing. Maybe we can incorporate some of these ideas into our own work. So it saves you a lot of time. All of our sample collections are electronic that are listed here. Back in the day when I first joined CASE, we used to have files and files of paper collections. But we, you know, we've gone digital. So everything we have is digital on the websites. And the next slide, please. This gives you a selection. This is a list of all of our titles. So it includes, you know, donor surveys, stewardship videos, lost alumni, alumni services, branding, crisis communication, research publications, alumni awards. Next slide. And then under fundraising, it's pledges, it's endowment management, it's crowdfunding campaigns, it's organization charts, political activity policies, small teams, strategic plans, whistleblowers. It's really everything and anything. Next slide, please. The next big collection that I want to talk about that's available on the CASE website is the CASE files. We kind of monitor the news and press releases. And we have a couple of lists that are interesting and popular. It includes the largest campaigns in the U.S., a list of the largest campaigns undertaken by higher education institutions. It was last updated on November 11th. We update it, like, once a month. There are a lot of billion-dollar campaigns. You have to be quite large to even make it into this list. The other one is the largest gifts to education, gifts or pledges valued at least $101 million U.S. And that was last updated in October. I will let you know that in the U.S., the Chronicle of Philanthropy also maintains a database that contains this information as well. So that's another place to look. Unusual gifts, this was last updated in August. This, I have to admit, is one of my favorite little jewels on the CASE website. Our CEO, Sue Cunningham, often uses these in her presentations when she's talking to conference communities or talking about advancement in general. One of my favorites from this section is there was an institution that received a collection of dinosaur poop. And everybody's like, why? And what would you do with that? Well, this particular institution had a huge paleontology program. So for them, this gift totally in their mission. You know, they had a museum set to it. They could do research. It was, you know, it was a valuable gift. Another one that came during my years at CASE was an institution in Australia that received a large collection of preserved bugs. Like, you may have seen them where people put the little pins in the butterfly wings so that they can preserve them in cases and museums, etc. And, you know, depending on your institution, you might be like, what am I going to do with this? How do I value it? What do I do? Well, what the institution did was they had a program in naturalist illustrations. So for their students, this was a super valuable gift because they could use all of these preserved samples to train their students on how to make naturalist illustrations. So, you know, there's I would say there's an institution for every donor and a space for every gift. It just may not be your institution sometimes. So it's, I don't know, these stories just, yes, they're a little funny, but at the same time, you know, they highlight the importance of the work that our donors do in supporting institutions. Next slide. I'm going to talk a little bit about the personalized research. I will tell you, CASE has over 100,000 individual members and we have four librarians. So with that great idea, I highly recommend that you use some of those self-service research tools like the sample collections, the subject guides, and the ARC before you come to us. But we are here and we can help guide your research. We usually say two to three days working time. You know, sometimes we need more based on the question, sometimes we need less. But like I said, we do a lot of research, so we are available to help assist you in what you're looking for. Next slide. The CASE archives. As Candice mentioned at the beginning of our session, CASE is 50 years old. Actually, December 1st was the first day of work and 1974 of CASE, so we just celebrated our 50th anniversary. One of the roles that we fill in the library is we are the institutional memory of the organization and our archival materials, which include papers, photos, conference programs, you know, what we call ephemera. Like T-shirts and hats and marketing materials. Our history is located in four different locations. Some online via our own internal servers. Some in the D.C. office. Some off-site in Washington, D.C. at a place called Capital Archives. And some in Indianapolis, and there is, we have information there. They have a philanthropy library, so it's kind of attached to the Lilly School of Philanthropy, but it also talks about philanthropy from all sorts of organizations. And if you have any questions about CASE history, you can email us at library at case.org. We do ask for some extra time in answering those questions, just because we need to sometimes retrieve materials from different locations. We're working on getting more digital materials, but right now we are still have a lot of things in paper. So, and as a librarian, I love paper. So, we have a lot of things in paper still. Next slide. The other hat that I wear at CASE is as the subject matter expert for the CASE Global Reporting Standards. If you are not familiar with them, the Global Reporting Standards are the professional standards for advancement when it comes to accepting, processing, and counting educational philanthropy at institutions. The standards were updated, or they became the Global Reporting Standards in 2021. We wrote a new edition of the book in working with a big group of senior volunteers to update the standards to make them global. So, not only does it count, not only does it have information on gift accounting and reporting in the US, but now we have regional supplements for Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Mexico, Singapore, the United Kingdom, and the United States. For those of you in the United States, if you're looking for some of that IRS guidance on, you know, what publications do I need to read if somebody wants to give me a boat, for instance, you can look in the US supplement of that book and get those references. The Global Reporting Standards are also available as a full Spanish publication. And then in the English edition for Canada, there is also the Canada supplement in French. And then obviously for Mexico, there's always the Mexico supplement in Spanish. So, we have a couple of different ways for you to do that. We also have a course that you can take online if you wish to become a standards scholar and be able to quote the reporting standards in your sleep, like I can. You can take the Case Global Reporting Standards course. It's available fully online on demand. So, it's seven modules. It takes about 10 to 11 hours, but you can do it on your own time at your own speed. You have two years to take the course. And if you complete the assessment at the end, then you receive a badge that you can put on your social media. We also have badges that if you complete or participate in any of the Case Insights surveys, which have a foundation in the Global Reporting Standards. If you participate in any of the surveys, such as the Insights in Philanthropy in UK and Ireland, the Case Insights on Alumni Engagement, the Case Insights on Philanthropy, the Voluntary Supportive Education Survey, or the newest, which will be coming out in February, the Case Insights on Campaign Survey. Oh, and then there's also Case Insights on Philanthropy in Australia and New Zealand, which I believe is opening in January, and the Case Insights on Philanthropy in Canada, which is closed. And I believe that report is coming out in a couple of months. Or maybe it's still open. It's hard to keep them all straight, I admit. But if you participate in any of those Case Insights surveys, or your organization does, you will be eligible to be a standards contributor, and you receive a badge for that. We also have a group of educational partners who receive additional training in the standards and additional training from me regarding the standards. And they support CASE, and they also can support your institution in terms of incorporating the standards in either your campaigns or your annual programs. And all of those organizations are deemed standards champions. So, and there's a whole list of those organizations on the CASE website. I could answer a lot of questions about CASE Global Reporting Standards, but I'm just going to give you the shortcut. It is standards at case.org. And for the CASE Global Reporting Standards, because it is such an important part of the work that CASE does both for our members and for the profession, we do answer questions from members and non-members on this particular topic. To use the CASE library and the subject guides, the sample collections, and to be able to access the resources of the ARC, you do need to be a member of CASE. And then you can use the library at case.org email address. Next slide. We always, as I mentioned, we answer questions from members all over the world on all sorts of topics related to advancement. And it really helps us kind of justify our work, expand our work, create new collections. Because of those 150 subject guides and sample collections that you saw on the screen, all of those came out of a question of a member. It was either a question of a member, a question of volunteer, a question of a faculty member. So you're kind of our best source for information and what we should do next. But at the same time, we'd really love to hear how the work we do supports the work that you're trying to do. And it could be in this job or the job that you're aspiring to. So we, you know, really appreciate feedback from our members, good, bad, and otherwise. You know, sometimes doing virtual reference, things get lost in the email. And, you know, in my, oh, so, so many years of being in libraries, I've had to do a question or two over again because it's like, oh, you wanted this. No, I really wanted this. Well, that's OK. We have conversations and we can share resources for you. So, you know, this is one example that we've received from a member. And as you can tell, I don't have their name on it. So we're not going to share your name unless we have permission. We also do not share who asked the individual questions because occasionally we do get questions of a whistleblower nature. And, you know, we do protect the confidentiality of the individual questions. I mean, I will be able to tell you we got, you know, 10,000 questions from independent schools or, you know, three questions from California this month. Wonder what's going on in California or somebody great's been talking us up. So, you know, please send us email to librarycase.org, ask your questions, we're your shop for all of that information. Next slide. And I believe this is my last slide, and this is the one to remember. Librarycase.org reaches all the members of the library team. We share the inbox so you don't have to worry about if any of us go on vacation. Standards at case.org is also the library team, and we'll answer your questions there. And then www.case.org slash library gets you right to the library homepage to get you started on any of your questions. And, you know, if anyone has questions, you can put them in the chat, or I'm going to pass it over to Candice and she can ask her questions for the quiz pop quiz. We're going to be getting to that in just a moment. Thank you so much, Cindy. That was absolutely amazing. Such an incredible deep dive into the library. I think the dinosaur poop is the thing I'm going to remember the most. That was amazing. Thank you. And Edwina, are there any questions in the chat for Cindy? Edwina, I'm not sure if she can hear me. Sorry, I forgot about the mute button. I'm not seeing any questions right now. All right. Well, great. But if you have any questions, you have Cindy's contact information. You have our contact information. So feel free to contact us at any time with your questions. But thank you so much, Cindy. That was amazing and an amazing way to kick off our webinar. So thank you. And yes, we are now leading into our first pop-up quiz, and it will be related to the library. So the question is, name two types of resources you can find in the Case Online Library. and there are a lot to choose from and the first person to post the correct answer in the chat wins the $10 first $10 Starbucks gift card so do we have a winner Edwina? I have lots of them yes lots of them congratulations Josephine okay wonderful well congratulations Josephine but to everyone else we still have four more pop-up quizzes so be sure to pay attention so maybe you can win one of our other Starbucks gift cards now I'm going to move on to case events which are often the first point of connection for our new members our organization hosts a wide array of educational in-person meetings and events that address the key areas and challenges our members face whether in advancement, alumni relations, marketing and communications, or fundraising. We also tailor our events to meet the needs of various types of institutions including four-year educational institutions, community colleges, and more. Case organizes over 50 meetings annually across the US and Canada along with numerous international events. These gatherings attract thousands of professionals and offer great opportunities for learning and networking. We also collaborate with other organizations such as our annual joint conference with the National Association of Independent Schools which will be happening next month in DC. Additionally our districts host numerous events each year from annual district meetings to informal drive-ins and online gatherings and case members always receive 40% off the registration fees for case conferences. In addition to our in-person meetings we also host numerous webinars and online events and gatherings each year. Many of these webinars and online events are offered free to our members and we're constantly adding new webinars so I encourage you to check our website regularly to see our latest offerings. Our districts also host numerous online events and gatherings each year so there really are so many opportunities to learn, engage, and network through case. And what's nice is these opportunities exist at a national, international, and local level. As you can see on this slide our webinar topics are incredibly diverse ranging from hot topics and gift processing to quick studies for community colleges and case members also receive 40% off all our webinars too and as you can see many of these webinars are offered free for our members. Now I'm going to talk about the case awards program too which Cindy has already touched upon in a minute but as a volunteer driven organization case relies on the contributions of its members to make these events a success. We encourage you to volunteer for meeting committees or even serve as a speaker at one of our events. If you're interested in volunteering you can sign up through our website at case.org slash volunteer. A full listing of events can be found at case.org slash events. And I was getting a little ahead of myself but now I'm going to discuss the case awards and scholarship programs. Our members, as Cindy has mentioned, our members have done amazing work in advancement and case is honored to recognize them through our case annual awards program. Our circle of excellence awards spotlight creative and inspiring projects that make a significant impact on institutions and their communities. In fiscal year 24 case received over 4,000 entries and awarded circle of excellence awards to 522 institutions and it is an institution-based award. Case also recognizes individual achievements through our case leadership award and case distinguished service awards. In addition each of the eight case districts in the U.S. Canada region also offer their own awards program and I should mention that the case awards programs are only for case members and you can find out more about the case awards program and check out our past winners by going to case.org slash awards or to the library too and so it's an amazing opportunity to get the deserved recognition both for yourself and your institution. In addition to our awards case also offers an annual scholarship program to help members attend case meetings. Scholarship recipients can attend one case conference at no cost covering the meeting registration fee. Travel related expenses are not included. This year in honor of our 50th anniversary we awarded 50 scholarships out of 77 applications doubling the usual number of recipients. Many scholarship recipients are early in their advancement careers or come from smaller institutions making this opportunity an invaluable chance for learning and networking that they might not otherwise have. The scholarship application process opens up in January and the winners are announced in April and winners have one year to use their scholarship. You can go on our website to find out more and to see a list of past winners. Okay now it's time for our second pop-up quiz. How many case members received the circle of excellence award this year? Once again the first person to post the correct answer in the chat wins a $10 Starbucks gift card. They're answering really quickly. We have a winner. Congratulations Angela. All right well congratulations Angela. I'll be in touch soon with your Starbucks gift card but for everyone else there are going to be three more pop-up quizzes so pay close attention. Now we are going to talk about CATE's global reporting standards which once again Cindy did touch upon but I'll mention it too. All professions have standards and advancement is no different. CASE is proud to be the leader for advancement standards focusing on fundraising, alumni relations, and marketing and communications. We first published our reporting standards in 1982 and in 2021 we published our first CASE global reporting standards which expanded our standards to organizations around the world. This past July we updated our standards with guidance on new funds committed and campaign counting. The CASE global reporting standards provide guidelines and definitions for reporting the results of educational philanthropy at schools, colleges, and universities around the world. The standards are intended to help educational leaders understand and mitigate risk and enable effective leadership in the area of philanthropic support. They provide worldwide standards for institutional fundraising with definitions for educational philanthropy and important guidance around gift counting, fund received, new funds committed, and donor control and influence. All CASE members receive a complimentary one-year digital subscription to the electronic version of the CASE global reporting standards. If you need help with signing up your digital subscription please contact the membership team and we can help you with this. Additional electronic subscriptions can be purchased and also print versions. Some of our members especially like the printed book because it allows you to highlight and mark pages and annotate where needed. It also can be shared among a team and added to your office library and the book is spiral bound and includes tabbed sections. Now I'm going to talk about CASE Insights. CASE is the global leader in empowering advancement professionals at colleges, universities, and schools to create a data-informed decision. Institutions of all sizes, types, and locations around the world find that CASE Insights, our comprehensive suite of data, standards, and research is an invaluable tool for driving success. Our members leverage strategic benchmarking reports, data access toolkits, specialized trainings, and more to adopt a data-informed strategy that enhances their work. There are additional feed-based services offered through CASE Insights that are only available for members. Members can also participate in CASE Insights surveys online. In doing so your institution gains easy access to personalized summary benchmarking reports including peer comparisons, detailed data, and other valuable insights. CASE Insights provides specialized data, standards, and research that enable advancement professionals to make informed decisions, demonstrate strategic impact, highlight success stories, and define ethical practices at their institutions. As the world leader in helping institutions achieve their goals, CASE offers many of these resources as part of your membership benefits. Further, participants in our surveys receive access to detailed survey results and a customized benchmarking report specific to their institution. All right, now it's time for our third pop-up quiz. Name two ways you can use CASE Global Reporting Standards to be more successful at your institution. Once again, the first person to post the correct answer in the chat wins a $10 Starbucks gift card. So it went in. Do we have a winner? We do. Yes, yes. Congratulations, Kim. Kim, all right. Congratulations, Kim. I will be in touch soon, but to everyone else pay close attention because we still will have two more pop-up quizzes. Now we're going to speak about volunteering at CASE. Volunteers are at the core of everything CASE does. One of our guiding principles is that CASE runs on volunteer power. Volunteering is a great way for you to become more engaged with the CASE community and make an invaluable contribution to the field of advancement, and we offer a wide range of opportunities for those who are interested. Each year, more than 350 volunteer leaders serve on CASE boards and advisory groups, while another 3,200 advancement professionals volunteer their time as speakers, authors, conference planners, judges for our awards programs, and more. CASE volunteers are at all stages of their advancement careers, from newcomers to senior level practitioners, and work across all advancement disciplines, such as alumni relations, communications, development, and marketing. Volunteers can serve on a short-term basis, such as by contributing to a conference, or more long-term by serving a multi-year term on the CASE board of trustees. There are many different volunteer opportunities at CASE. These include serving as a volunteer leader on the board of trustees, serving as an awards judge, writing a piece for Currents, our membership magazine, or volunteering to be on a conference committee, which is the most common way that our members get involved with and volunteer for CASE. Our conferences offer many volunteer opportunities, including serving as a speaker, leading a roundtable discussion, serving on a panel, working the welcome desk, seeking sponsorships, or even working on an online program. There are also opportunities to volunteer at the district level. For example, I have the privilege of working with an incredible group of volunteers who focus on member outreach who focus on member outreach at the district level. If you're interested in volunteering, I highly encourage you to go to case.org slash volunteer and fill out the online form to get started. I'm now going to highlight one more membership benefit, and that is CASE communities. One of the best ways to connect with your peers and expand your professional network is through CASE communities. These communities are vibrant, secure, members-only online spaces where our members come together to exchange questions, stories, insights, and resources. CASE communities is a great platform for seeking and sharing advice, ideas, and support. And while many of our members first experience a members-related CASE community, there are so many more CASE communities to experience. Within CASE communities, you can engage with colleagues on a wide range of topics, including advancement services, alumni relations, communications, marketing, fundraising, DEIB, and much more. Our communities cater to diverse interests, such as college and university editors, foundations, community college grants, and independent and international schools. Here is a screenshot of the CASE communities page that lists the communities by topic. And as you can see, as of now, there are 11 different communities here, and we are always open to adding new communities. So, if you have a great idea for one, please let us know. So, you can explore all the possibilities and start connecting today by visiting case.org slash connect. All right, now it's time for our fourth pop-up quiz. The question is, name two topics that have CASE communities. Once again, the first person to post a correct answer in the chat will be the recipient of a $10 Starbucks gift card. And there's definitely plenty of time to get one of those holiday drinks with it. So, Edwina, do we have a winner? Yes, congratulations, Kelly. All right, Kelly, congratulations. I will be in touch soon with your gift card, but everyone else, there will still be one more pop-up quiz, so please pay attention. All right, well, now that we've covered many of CASE's most popular benefits and resources, it's time for our Q&A session. If anyone has any questions, please post them in the chat. And now is the time we can also answer any questions that were posted earlier in the webinar. So, Edwina, are there any questions you'd like to share now? Nope, I'm not seeing any questions. No questions. All right, well, if you think of anything later on, you are welcome to reach out to us. We'll be sharing all our contact information, and please let us know your questions at any point. Well, we are now going to be quickly moving on to our fifth and final pop-up quiz. So, but first, well, I'm going to keep jumping up. Well, it looks like we answered all the questions, but now we are going to go to our pop-up quiz. Yes. Name two benefits you learned about during this webinar that you didn't know about before today. And there can be so many different combinations of answers. Edwina, do we have a winner? I keep forgetting about that mute button. Yes, we have a winner. I'm going to take a hinge and guess and clue now, if I hope I'm saying it correctly. Apologies. Congratulations. All right, well, congratulations. And so, I will be in touch soon with your Starbucks gift card and to all of our winners today. But I think actually everyone here should feel like a winner today because you are learning about how to take full advantage of your case membership and use it to be more successful in your position in your career. So, really, congratulations to everyone. So, as we wrap up today's session, I'm going to quickly review what we've covered. We explored some of the most popular benefits and resources available to you as a case member, including the case library, our extensive offering of in-person and online events, our awards and scholarship programs, the case global reporting standards, case insights, volunteer opportunities, and case communities. For more information on any of these topics, I encourage you to visit our website at case.org. There you'll find detailed resources and ways to connect with our team if you have additional questions. I am also listing here the web addresses for the resources I discussed today. As I mentioned, the slide deck for today's webinar is available to download. Also available to download on the meeting website is a detailed list of all case benefits and resources, including some due to time restrictions I wasn't able to cover in today's webinar, such as DEI resources, our internship program, employment resources, LinkedIn groups, and more. At this time, we would greatly appreciate it if you could post in the chat any topics or case benefits and resources that you would love to learn more about. That would be so incredibly helpful for us in planning future membership webinars and other outreach activities. And of course, you are welcome to send me an email with this information too. So, once again, a big thank you for joining us today for our monthly membership webinar. We're excited to continue these sessions on the third Wednesday of every month. So, our next one will be on January 16th, and we'd love for you to join us again. And it will be another chance to win a Starbucks gift card. And please feel free to invite your colleagues and friends to the chance to win a Starbucks gift card. And please feel free to invite your colleagues as well. And thank you so much, Edwina, for all your help today, and to Cindy for giving such a wonderful and in-depth overview of the case library. So, thank you again, everyone, and have a wonderful afternoon, and happy holidays, and happy new year. Bye.
