Andrea Cavazos, M.A., is director of alumni engagement at UT Health San Antonio, now a part of The University of Texas at San Antonio, where she brings deep expertise in alumni engagement and event planning to strengthen connections across the university. She has recently worked to support a revitalized alumni council and reimagine signature events to re-engage an alumni population of more than 50,000. She holds a master's degree in communications studies from St. Mary’s University and has 13 years of experience at both private and public institutions driving alumni engagement. Her track-record of communicating strategically and advancing engagement through thoughtful events and experiences that resonate with alumni and supporters, brings a wealth of knowledge to advancement.

Mary Kay Cooper, Ed.D, is the founding director of the alumni office at Texas A&M University-San Antonio, where she has spent nearly a decade shaping and growing the university’s alumni program. With more than 30 years in higher education — and close to 20 dedicated to alumni engagement at both private and public institutions in San Antonio — she brings a deep understanding of how to connect and inspire graduates. A first-generation college graduate herself Dr. Cooper is passionate about supporting students who share that experience. She holds degrees in English, Catholic theology, and leadership from universities in Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Known for her boundless energy, love of fitness, and generous mentorship, she is often sought out by colleagues across the advancement field for her insight on building authentic engagement.
