Video Summary
The session introduced employer branding and EVP development through two case studies: Rolls-Royce SMR and the Lego Group. Michelle Amos opened the webinar and welcomed the speakers, thanking sponsors and setting up the discussion.

Sarah from SMRS explained how the agency helps organisations define and communicate their culture, values, purpose, and employer value propositions to attract and retain talent. Martin Stubbs from Rolls-Royce SMR described the company’s mission to deliver small modular nuclear reactors, its relationship with Rolls-Royce PLC, and the challenge of being clearly understood in the talent market. He highlighted the need to “own” the employer brand, use data-driven research, and improve candidate clarity, especially around confusion with the parent brand and the need to diversify the workforce. He also stressed stakeholder management, internal alignment, and building a brand that supports long-term recruitment, retention, and international growth.

Charlotte Peacock then presented Lego’s employer brand journey, showing how even a globally loved brand must continually evolve its employer brand. She outlined the development and refresh of “Just Imagine,” including research, creative evolution, ambassador-led social campaigns, internal advocacy, localised content for different markets, and a redesigned careers site. Both case studies showed that strong employer branding is ongoing, evidence-based, and closely tied to business goals.
