Meet the Speakers
Jami Romshek, Chief Human Resources Officer, University of Nebraska Foundation

Jami has over 20 years of experience in people development and organizational leadership including talent acquisition, performance management, and all aspects of human resources.  Favorite aspects of her career include building strengths-based organizations, driving employee engagement, and pursuing excellence.  In her current role, she leads talent management and human resources for the University of Nebraska Foundation.  A lifelong student of positive psychology, Jami is a Gallup-certified strengths coach, an ICF certified coach (ACC) and an Appreciative Inquiry facilitator. Jami is the advisory board chair for the Clifton Strengths Institute in the UNL College of Business.  She and her husband Matt live in Lincoln Nebraska and have 2 married daughters and 2 grandsons.





Jill Trego
, Vice President of Talent & Culture,Texas A&M Foundation


Jill D. Trego serves as Vice President, Talent & Culture at Texas A&M University, bringing extensive experience in cultivating workplace environments and advancing talent management strategies. Their background reflects a strong focus on human resources leadership across diverse sectors. At the Kansas State University Foundation, Jill held the position of Vice President, Culture & Engagement, where they focused on advancing philanthropic initiatives within higher education. Earlier roles at the Foundation included Associate VP, Talent, Culture & Human Resources, and Senior Director, Human Resources, demonstrating a progressive career trajectory within the organization. Prior to their work in higher education, Jill served as Director, Human Resources, Operations (US) at Cangene, a biopharmaceutical company. In this role, they provided HR leadership within a pharmaceutical environment. Earlier in their career, Jill held multiple positions of progressive responsibility at Under Armour as a Senior HR Business Partner. Their work at Under Armour encompassed organizational development, talent strategy, compensation analysis, change management, and employee relations. They also led a team to create a rotational internship program for apparel designers and product managers. Building on experience in the apparel industry, Jill also served as an Employment Coordinator at Gearco. Jill's career began with Aerotek as a Recruiter, providing staffing services. Jill holds a Bachelor of Arts from Kansas State University and is a SHRM - Certified Professional (SHRM-CP).





Matthew White
, PhD, Vice President for Advancement and President of the Foundation at Utah State University


Matthew T. White PhD serves as Vice President for Advancement and President of the USU Foundation at Utah State University. White was the associate vice president of Collegiate Development at Kansas State University where he helped the school raise more than $1 billion in a recently completed capital campaign. His fundraising experience includes major gifts, endowments, principal gifts and annual giving. As a lifelong student and teacher, White said he is passionate about working with development, marketing and alumni teams, along with academic leaders to achieve annual and long-term fundraising success. White earned a bachelor’s in secondary education from the University of Evansville in 2000, and a master’s in higher education administration in 2004 from Saint Louis University, where he is now working towards a doctorate in higher education administration and public policy. His research and expertise is on improving effective practices for governing boards and the factors that affect policy changes. He has more than 15 years of development experience and is an adjunct professor for the Staley School of Leadership Studies where he also co-taught the Senior Nonprofit Internship course. Prior to his extensive responsibilities at KSU, he was vice president and chief development officer of Ranken Jordan Pediatric Bridge Hospital, St. Louis, MO, where he supervised a hospital development, marketing and public relations team.
