Advancement teams are investing more than ever in digital communities, mentorship programs, and alumni engagement platforms. But one challenge remains constant: how do you clearly demonstrate the impact of those efforts?

Many institutions track activity — posts, logins, and participation — but struggle to translate that activity into meaningful insights that guide strategy and demonstrate ROI to leadership.

In this session, we’ll explore how advancement teams can move beyond simply tracking engagement to understanding what’s working, where momentum is building, and where programs should evolve.

We’ll discuss practical approaches for measuring alumni engagement impact, including how to:
- Identify the engagement metrics that actually matter for alumni programs
- Understand which content, initiatives, and communities drive participation
- Use engagement data to strengthen mentorship, volunteering, and career programs
- Translate platform activity into meaningful insights for leadership and stakeholders

We’ll also explore how modern analytics and reporting tools help institutions surface patterns in alumni engagement, uncover growth opportunities, and better demonstrate the value of their programs.
