Start Before Graduation: Building Alumni Loyalty Through Student Connections
About
Connections between alumni and students are an essential strategic investment in your alumni network. When students engage with alumni early, they experience the impact of alumni volunteerism, mentorship, and a sense of belonging that lasts beyond graduation. Alumni, in turn, see tangible reminders of their time on campus and feel valued when they can share their experiences and influence the next generation. These relationships can drive long-term engagement and strengthen institutional loyalty.

But, with limited time and resources, how do we create a campus culture where alumni-student engagement is not only encouraged, but scalable and cost-effective? This session will explore why these connections matter for alumni relations and institutional success, and share practical strategies, such as leveraging student voices for alumni-focused content, building partnerships across campus, and creating programs that deliver impact without breaking the budget.
